DAY 1 Visit in ULAANBAATAR
Arrival at the airport, meeting with our driver and guide. Transfer to your hotel, settling in, and rest. We will take you in the restaurant mongol. Let's immerse ourselves in the heart of the Mongolian history, in the wonderful National History Museum. Discovery of Gengis Khan Square and the House of Parliament. Mongolian traditional show at Tumen Ekh: folkloric dances, contortion, and of course khoomi, the overtone singing. Welcome dinner in Mongolian style restaurant. Overnight in the hotel. B/L/D
DAY 2 Ulaanbaatar-Khogno Khan
Up early morning we will drive to the splendid rocky formations of Khogno Khan (250kms about 4 hours). Discovery of the park: semi desert, steppes, taiga, stunning rocky formations, 80km long sand dunes, are characteristic of this arid area nicknamed "Mini-Gobi". Walk until "Erdene Khamb" Monastery. Camelback trek along the sand dunes of Elsen tasarkhai. Overnight in the ger with nomadic family. B/L/D
DAY3 Khogno khan-Orkhon Valley
Today we will drive to the Orkhon Valley (200kms about 5hours). Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the valley is a land of nomadism and many breeders set their summer camp there. On the way, we will see Uurtin Tokhoi Canyon scenic spot. Once at the camp, you can take a rest from this long journey in confortable ger camp by Orkhon river. B/L/D
DAY4 Journey to Orkhon Waterfall
After breakfast we will hike or horse riding to Ulaan Tsutgalan, white flood flowing on the black stone, transformed in rainbow by a short sunray and the largest waterfall of Mongolia, 7 km away from the camp. These 16-metres falls are just magic ! They were formed 20.000 years ago, as a result of a unique combination of earthquakes and volcano eruptions. Staying with the nomads and discovery of the activities bound to yacks breeding. Welcome dinner with the nomad family. Stay in a ger neighboring the nomad family. B/L/D
DAY5 Visit of Tuvkhun Monastery
Today we will drive to the Tuvkhun Monastery (45kms about 1 hours). Vehicles can't go until the top of Öndör Ulaan Hill and we will walk until there to discover Tovkhon Ermitage, where Zanabazar, the first religious leader of Mongolia, created the Soyombo alphabet. The monastery is located 2312 metres above the sea level and from that place we'll have a wonderful view of the whole Khangai range. We'll picnic in exceptional surroundings, facing Orkhon Valley. Overnight in an extra ger of the nomad family. B/L/D
DAY6 Mogoit Spa
On day 6, you will relax in the hot springs of Mogoit Spa. But before that, you will hike through the forest to the sacred mountain of Tsagaan Khairkhan (the white rock). The hot springs of Mogoit Spa are said to have been discovered by Zanabazar. They contain sulphur and have therapeutic virtues. You can come back to the Orkhon camp with our driver. Once at the conformable ger camp, you can do some fishing, play archery, rafting, pétanque, or just relax.
DAY7 Orkhon Valley-Kharkhorin
Today we will drive to long distance for 3 hours about 130 kms. Journey to Kharkhorin, the former capital of Mongolia. The legendary city of Genghis Khan was founded in 1220 and was one of the stages of the silk road. Visit of Erdene Zuu Monastery built in 1586 by a nomad prince. The Chinese and Tibetan-inspired buildings are surrounded with 108 sacred stupas. Visit of the Museum of Kharkhorin. Overnight in another nomad family and explore more about the nomadic life. B/L/D
Our Seven-day stay in nomad family tour through Central Mongolia is dedicated to everybody who wants to be distant from modern noisy and stressful cities while captured by the natural beauty and discovering uniqueness of the nomadic culture. During the tour, you will stay at different nomad families.
Staying with nomad families is the best way to discover a lot about the centuries-old nomadic lifestyle and their culture. The nomads are totally self-sufficient on their five kinds of animals (horses, sheep, cattle including yaks, goats and camels) and move with their mobile and collapsible dwelling “ger” in search of better pasture and water for their animals from a place to place all year round.

For your journey in Mongolia, it is possible joining a fixed departure tour with a group, which has the advantage of providing a friendly atmosphere and to let you benefit from the best price. Our groups are composed of an average of 3 to 12 participants.
We offering camel riding, horse trekking and hiking tour based on local community. Nomadic families live in the area are main parts of the tours. They will supply camels, horses, meals, and accommodation for tourists.
Back to Ulaanbaatar (350kms about 5 hours). Last herds of wild horses crossing the road outside our dumbfounded eyes, last yurts smoking far away, the steppe will be with us until the last moment. Arrival in town and settling in at your hotel, where you can rest a few moments. Rest of the day free. During your stay, you will discover their way of life and you will be proposed many activities, such as milking, making traditional dairy products, or rounding up the animals with a horse. You can eat and learn how to make the traditional meals, fresh dairy products, homemade cookies, pancakes, and breads, how to tend and milk animals and so on. You will also attend the preparation of a Mongolian barbecue that you will enjoy with yours hosts.
Breakfast at the hotel. We go with you to the international airport of Ulaanbaatar. The transfer can be organized at the time you want, according to the schedule of your flight.
